Changelog
A public record of everything shipped on the ODU Platform — new features, fixes, and policy updates, in plain English. Newest first.
Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
Terms of Service published at /terms — as-is disclaimer, $100 liability cap, continued-use acceptance, 14 sections.
Privacy Policy published at /privacy — full disclosure of data collected, Firebase/Brevo/Netlify third parties, user rights, erasure process.
Legal contact form on both pages — enquiries route to hello@odu-standard.com tagged by source.
Footer now links to Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on every page.
Signup flow — TOS acceptance checkbox added before account creation.
Community profiles, avatar uploads & moderation
Avatar and banner image uploads — set your photo and cover image from /community/me.
Member type ring colours on all avatars — Worker (teal), Company (ember), Supporter (silver), Admin (gold). Anonymous members show a neutral ring to protect privacy.
Admin Reports panel — moderators can review flagged posts, see both the reporter and reported member's identity, then dismiss or delete.
Profile pages were incorrectly showing no recent posts — now loads correctly for all members.
Banner upload hint text was hidden behind the avatar circle on the edit profile page.
Feed improvements, profile editing & reserved usernames
Edit profile page at /community/me — update display name, bio, and public/private setting.
Per-message menu (⋯) — edit or delete your own posts directly from the feed.
Clickable member profiles — tap any name or avatar in the feed to view their full profile.
Reserved username protection — ~300 brand names, platform terms, and reserved handles blocked at signup.
Living Standard proposals queue in the admin panel — moderators can review and act on community amendment submissions.
Feed ⋯ menu not opening on some browsers — root cause was a React 17+ document listener conflict, now resolved.
Admin panel now displays real member names and makes each row clickable for quick access.
Post action dropdown now uses fixed positioning — no longer clipped inside scrollable containers.
Wave Sweep Intelligence, Detective Queue & embed chatbot
Wave Sweep Intelligence — platform now actively monitors 70+ news sources (Reuters, Bloomberg, BBC, FT, Axios and more) for AI displacement events.
Detective Queue — uncertain events are flagged for manual review before publishing to the live tracker, preventing false data.
Embeddable Wave widget with AI-powered chat — available for Pro and Enterprise users to embed the live tracker on their own sites.
Inline headcount editor — admins can now correct displacement figures directly in the review panel without needing a developer.
Manual search sweep trigger — admins can kick off a fresh sweep on demand from the admin panel.
Eurostat live statistics integrated — official EU labour displacement data now feeds into Wave aggregates.
Per-event colour coding and a pulsing live dot added to the Wave tracker for clearer visual status.
Duplicate event detection added — prevents the same layoff announcement from being counted multiple times across sources.
WEF 92M projection headcount nulled out — that figure was a forecast, not a confirmed displacement count.
Community platform launch — feed & member profiles
Community feed at /community/feed — post updates, share experiences, and connect with other workers, companies, and supporters.
Member profiles at /community/profile/[username] — public profiles show display name, bio, member type, and recent posts.
Unified admin panel — community moderation tools consolidated in one place.
Chat-style feed redesign — messages displayed as cards with member type colour pills and timestamp.
Feed visual polish pass — message card spacing, own-message teal wash, readable member type badges.
The Living Standard, partner enquiries & branding
The Living Standard — community governance system allowing members to submit proposed amendments to the ODU Standard.
Sticky proposal drawer — full section text visible while writing a proposal so you know exactly what you're amending.
24-hour proposal cooldown — prevents a single member from flooding the proposal queue.
Partner with us section on the About page — companies, unions, research groups, and press can now send a structured enquiry.
Shield-O favicon and social OG image card added — platform now previews correctly when shared on social media.
Platform-wide accuracy sweep — scroll indicators, example data labels, Accord terminology, and copy corrections applied across all pages.
Drawer and Accord Advisor layout conflict resolved — Advisor moves left when proposal drawer is open.
ODU Standard v1.4 — terminology, structure & document page
Standard document page at /the-standard/document — full ODU Standard readable online with PDF export.

For Companies and For Workers pages fully rewritten to reflect the voluntary Accord model.
Mobile responsive layouts — tables and grid layouts now readable on phones across all pages.
ODU Standard v1.0–1.3 — voluntary model locked
ODU Standard v1.0 published — the founding ethical standard for AI-driven workforce displacement.
Standard iterated to v1.3 — voluntary/reputational enforcement model confirmed; Displacement Compensation model; global scope principles established.
